About the Department

Since the inception of College of Agriculture in the year 1978, under the aegis of NEHU, Shillong and later on with the establishment of Nagaland University in the year 1994, the Department of Agricultural Economics has been functioning under SASRD, Medziphema campus toward the development of the institution through its academic excellence in the discipline of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics and Computer Application with the contribution of 16 credit loads as compulsory courses in B.Sc(Ag) Hons degree Programme. The Department started M.Sc(Ag.) in Agricultural Economics degree programme in the year 2004 and Ph.D degree programme in the year 2005.
